🎶Flee
Overview
Flee is a procedurally generated runner in which players skate down musically generated tracks. Focused on speed, rhythm and music. You must survive the obstacles that are created by the music and engage the rhythm of the music to succeed in this Musical World. All songs used belong to their respective owners.
Flee was develop for the Level Up! Showcase (2014). This was only possible with the collaboration between the University of Toronto and OCAD U students. From the begging of development it started with a completely different concept. The team unfortunately could not continue with the original plan. Because the proposal was consider too large for a short period of time. Leading to change the mechanic of the game. However loyal to the original concept.

Besides of the drastic decision. The team was able to find a solution. That was simple to play, fast paced, engaging and most importantly able to go up against a tight deadline. Although it was necessary to write a creative brief to accelerate the development process.

Playtesting
Conduct playtests with players consider themselves as “gamer” and “nongamer”. The ages of the players are inside the age demographic 17 to 28 years old and incorporate feedback to improve the game.
